Introduction
A number of theories are in effect or have been developed over the years in order to explain motivation and/or direct management and criminal justice administration. This discussion encourages further understanding of the six theories of motivating personnel.
Initial Post Instructions
Examine the six theories of motivating personnel and what you think is the role of criminal justice managers in motivating their staff. Which theory is most effective? Describe why. Have you ever experienced any of the motivation types described in the readings? Incorporate academic concepts from the chapter, an outside academic resource, and personal experience.
